   The Second City
   Communications Brochure

The Second City Communications     department is one of the four     separate, distinct departments that     comprises The Second City’s revenue     stream.
The communications department     enables employers to better their     business by demonstrating skills for     better communications through     workshops and team building. Using     key improvisational techniques they     teach individuals to think better on     their feet and flourish in a team     environment.

The brief was to create a branded     communications vehicle that speaks     directly to CEOs and reflects both the     clean aesthetic of corporate culture     as well as the fun, intelligent and     colourful branding of The Second City     corporate group.

The solution was to create a printed     piece that speaks to CEOs on their     own terms through strong, innovative     and accessible design, a succinct and     crisp point of view on exactly what     CEOs want and need to know – and     gives clear direction on what to do     next. It uses a bright, modern, yet     subdued colour scheme to reinforce     the look and feel of a fresh approach     to modern business solutions. The     creative unites clear typography and
a function-led colour-coding system,     Printed on matte, thick, luxury stock     the brochure is heavy and substantial     to the touch.

   The Grayhill Spa
   Brochure

The brochure needed to be cost      effective enough to be given out
in mass quantities but at the same
time to convey a sense of luxury.
The Grayhill Spa brochure also      needed to seamlessly integrate with      existing promotional materials that      were designed years prior while at      the same time refreshing the brand.
Inexpensive stock images were used      to help cut costs while the majority of      the budget was spent on luxury paper      stocks coupled with some delicate foil      blocking of the logo and various      flourishes, provided the “exclusive”      feel required.
Additional work included ads, identity,      signage and marketing collateral in the      same style.
